Calling all PHd and Master’s students!
The college has offered to provide seminar-style Microsoft word skills sessions for final year PHd and masters students writing up their thesis. These sessions will be run by Norman Goodwin, who runs similar sessions at the university computing service. There will be small group sessions aimed at master’s students, and more advanced sessions for final year PHd students (master’s students may also attend the advanced one if they wish).
This a great opportunity if you’re not already a pro with word. Masters and PHd students don’t often get the opportunity to benefit from small-group teaching, unlike undergrads at Cambridge, so make the most of it.
The college needs to know numbers so that they can book the right number of sessions, so if you’re interested in attending, email Dr Carole Sargent (cas1001), letting her know your course and when you need to submit.
