FUNDRAISING – MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF REFUGEES

Student Action for Refugees is teaming up with Cambridge RAG and volunteers from the Hindu Society for a big day of fundraising on Friday 1st Feb!

Join us for this great opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of refugees fleeing persecution because of their colour, class, gender, faith, sexuality.
Asylum seekers & refugees are severely marginalised across the world, including in the UK – demonised by the press, randomly detained, banned from working and forced to survive on £5/day benefits by politicians.

Just an hour bucket-shaking for charity in the centre of town would be great – last year I made £1.50/minute (equivalent to £100k a year…).
If you’ve got a warm jumper and a (not essential!) fun costume it’s all the more enjoyable and all the more lucrative!

You can sign up to a session via Doodle here – much appreciated if you can include your hermes, and all the hours you’re available (and write how many you want to do beside your name if you’re available all day but want to do a couple of hours, for instance).

I’ll contact you nearer the time with more information once people have signed up.
In the meantime, any questions please get in touch at (tb433).
