CUTEC’s Business Surgeries

Wanting to start a business but not sure how to get it going? Perhaps you’d like to commercialise a new discovery or piece of technology, but can’t decide which route to take? In these difficult times, it is particularly important that you get the right advice. CUTEC’s Business Surgeries are here to help!

The Surgeries run in Michaelmas Term and cover a range of topics to give your new venture the edge. Surgeries are given by expert Advisors (usually from local professional organisations such as law firms and patent agencies) and provide FREE, confidential advice on a one-to-one basis.

This term’s sessions are:
10/10/2012 Early stage funding and business planning – ideaSpace
24/10/2012 Venture Capital – TTP Ventures
07/11/2012 Marketing – Cambridge Resolution
21/11/2012 Patents and other IPR – Mathys & Squire LLP IP
05/12/2012 Legal Issues – Greene & Greene

Surgeries are held on Wednesday afternoons 14:00 – 17:00 at:
ideaSpace, Entrepreneurship Centre
3 Charles Babbage Road
Cambridge CB3 0GT

There are four slots per Surgery:
A – 14:00; B – 14:45; C – 15:30; D – 16:15

To book a place, please send an email to development@cutec.org, quoting which surgery and time slot you are interested in.

These surgeries are incredibly popular – early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

CUTEC – the Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club – runs a number of events throughout the year to promote entrepreneurial innovation across all technical disciplines, both in Cambridge and beyond. Visit www.cutec.org for more information!
