Room Booking

Overview

Current students of Hughes Hall are welcomed to make use of the college infrastructure for social and sporting events. The MCR Committee currently manages bookings requests for several college rooms.

The following rooms and timeslots are available for booking:

• Pfeiffer Room (30 attendees max), 08:00 – 18:00, throughout the week, (Might be used for supervisions before 18:00)
• Pfeiffer Room (30 attendees max), 18:00 – 23:59, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday only
• Maletin Room (30 attendees max), 08:00 – 23:59 (Might be used for supervisions before 18:00)
• MCR Club Room (Bar) (100 attendees max, Public/Non-exclusive Events only), 08:00 – 18:00
• MCR Club Room (Bar) (100 attendees max, Public/Non-exclusive Events only), 18:00 – 23:59, Bar Manager approval required

To make a booking, please fill in the Room Booking Form below. The MCR IT and Infrastructure Officer and relevant college staff will review your request.

To book other rooms in the college, including the Pavilion Room, the Suzanne Ziegler Garden Room, Seminar Rooms, Supervision Rooms and Council Room, please get in touch with the Conference and Events Office (conference@hughes.cam.ac.uk).

Recurring/Multiple Bookings

To ensure fairness, the number of approved future bookings by each society or individual is limited to 2 at any time. For example, if more than 2 bookings are submitted at the same time, the MCR will only approve the first two bookings if appropriate, and the remaining bookings will be reviewed after the any of the approved bookings has taken place. Please note that bookings from a society or individual that has frequent or recurring bookings might be given lower priority.
