The Spanish Tragedy

The Marlowe Society presents
The Spanish Tragedy by Thomas Kyd
7.30pm, Wed 7th – Fri 9th Nov @ King’s College Chapel

I’ll turn their friendship into fell despite | Their love to mortal hate, their day to night”

Don Andrea has been murdered; his ghost stalks the Spanish Court attended by the spirit of Revenge, demanding bloody retribution.

The first Revenge play performed on the English stage, Thomas Kyd’s ‘Spanish Tragedy’ is a catalogue of murder and misdeeds, darkly re-imagined in this chilling new production.

For the first time in its history, King’s College Chapel becomes the setting for this tragedy, as the ghosts of the dead refuse to sleep in their graves and blood flows freely in this corrupt court.

But Don Andrea must have his revenge, the gods have decreed it …

This November drama comes to King’s College Chapel.
