Volunteering in Kenya and Tanzania, Summer 2013

This is the third year in a row that we have organised volunteering opportunities for Cambridge students in Kenya and Tanzania. Read on to find out how you can get involved!

The projects:

In Kenya, volunteers would work with Maji Mazuri, a charity that runs several projects in Nairobi. You could work in a preschool and nursery, with orphans, in a school, on a farm, on a life skills project, help with a micro-finance loans project, or volunteer at a sports and drama group for local teenagers.

In Tanzania, there is the opportunity to volunteer at Mvumi Secondary School, helping to teach lessons, run English conversation classes and organise extra-curricular activities. Check out the school’s website for more information about the school, and why volunteering there is both important and highly enjoyable. www.mvumischooltrust.co.uk
