Angels in America: The Great Work Begins – SUBMISSIONS WANTED!

‘Angels in America – Part 1: Millenium Approaches’ is the Week 6 Mainshow at the ADC. A show that tackles such dynamic themes as AIDS, liberalism, race and sexual identity, we are not only putting on a show: we have created a platform to raise awareness of such issues and explore the overtly political nature of the show.

In light of this, throughout the show’s run (26th Feb – 2nd Mar) we will be displaying art, poetry and other work in the ADC Bar and holding events after each performance in the Larkum Studio to turn this show week into the cultural event of the term.

We are calling for students to offer their creative input in any medium they would like (whether it is in fine art, poetry, music, dance, writing, photography… the possibilities are endless and we would love to hear from anyone and everyone) or to suggest themes for debate, for talks or for question and answer sessions. We are particularly interested in pieces focussing on AIDS awareness and sexual identity.

Please send all submissions to Bella on brl28 by Friday 22nd Feb. If you would also be interested in being involved in reading sessions or a music evening please also include this in your email.
