Teaching Opportunities in Summer 2013


Reach Cambridge is a well-established summer school based in Cambridge. We aim to prepare our international students for life after High School through an exciting range of in-depth academic teaching and involved discussion of real world issues.

Reach Cambridge are looking for PhD and Post-Doctorate candidates to teach a range of summer school courses in July and August. We are currently looking for teachers and co- ordinators for the following courses:

PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING (One dual course in July and one Physics course in August. Candidates are invited to apply for one or both)

LAW (One course in July and one in August. Candidates are invited to apply for one or both) MATHS (August only) BIOTECHNOLOGY (August only) CHEMISTRY AND PHARMACOLOGY (August only)

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (July only)

PSYCHOLOGY (July only)
We are looking for candidates who have great communication skills and can inject a sense of fun into challenging and thought-provoking academic material. Our courses aim to broaden students’ horizons by looking towards the challenging material of University-level study whilst remaining accessible to teenagers. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential.

DATES:
Monday 1st July – Friday 19th July [3 weeks of Monday to Friday classes] 6th August – Friday 17th August [2 weeks of Monday to Friday classes] HOURS: 9am – 1pm in July / 9am – 12pm & 2pm – 4.30pm in August

PAY: Between £900 and £1200 for full time teaching depending on position. (Part-time teaching and guest sessions can also be arranged)
