Varsity Football Match

Dear Hughes Mates,

As many of you may have heard, the 129th Varsity Football Match between Cambridge and Oxford will take place on Saturday the 30th March (5:30pm kick-off) at Selhurst Park in London, the home of Crystal Palace FC. Cambridge are in excellent form, with a nearly undefeated record and at the top of the UK’s highest University division, going into the historic fixture – the oldest recurring game in world football (the first match of this historic rivalry, in 1874, was played right next door on Parker’s Piece!). We’ll need all the Light Blue fans we can get for what promises to be a fantastic evening. The Blues are still in the hunt for an unprecedented treble and are looking forward to playing in a Light Blue cauldron at Selhurst Park.

Advance tickets are only £8 for students and concessions, and £10 for adults. Best bet for purchasing a ticket is to email me at ac819@cam.ac.uk early this week to get the discount price. Hope to see lots of you college mates out in the stands!

Cheerio, as they say.
Alex
