The film for Tuesday, 29 October, will be “Let the Right One In” (2008). Start your Halloween celebrations with a scary movie from Sweden. The story is set in the 1980s. It is the story of a bullied young boy who befriends a vampire. But fear not, it goes well beyond the standard vampire genre. It is beautifully filmed but essentially dark and unsentimental. Directed by Tomas Alfredson, the film is based upon the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote the screenplay for the film.
