Teach in Nepal Summer 2014

Volunteer to teach in Nepal with Cambridge Volunteers in Nepal (CVN).

How would you like to spend your summer living, teaching and travelling in Nepal?

Every year Cambridge Volunteers in Nepal sends 20 volunteers to three schools in Nepal – one in Kathmandu, one in a Kathmandu valley called Thali, and the other in Western rural countryside. These schools are run by the charitable and incredibly progressive foundation Hindu Vidya Peeth, which we have had a partnership with for over 20 years.

Teaching is in English and extremely flexible – volunteers can teach English, Maths, Science, History, Geography and anything else you can think of that would entertain and interest the students. Help is desperately needed to inject some originality and energy into their education system.

Living with the kids, teaching and playing with them every day, travelling through the beautiful, sometimes mystifying, always fascinating country, or just chatting with some of the friendliest people in the world is an incredible experience and we welcome any and everyone to apply.

If you’d like to learn more we’ll be running three short presentations of our own experiences in Nepal (lasting no more than 30-40 minutes!) at The Fisher Room, St. John’s College on:

Saturday 2nd November at 3pm
Monday 4th November at 7pm
Tuesday 12th November 8.30pm

Please come along and ask us any questions, find out about the schools, the homes and most importantly the kids. Also check out our website:

THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 16th NOVEMBER.
