Film Tuesday: “A Fistful Of Dollars” (1964)

“A Fistful Of Dollars” (1964) by Sergio Leone. This movie is THE classic of Spaghetti Western and hardly needs a presentation. A young and mysterious bounty hunter (Clint Eastwood) arrives to a village with two antagonistic families. The bounty hunter will try to manipulate both families for his own profit.

A marvellous, genre-making soundtrack by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone (please bear in mind we use a 5.1 sound system!). This is the first major featuring of Clint Eastwood, who was not in the original cast of the project. “A Fistful Of Dollars” is the first part of the so-called Dollar Trilogy. The rest of the trilogy will be programmed soon.
