Dear Hughesians,

I hope many of you have bought their May Ball tickets already – it is the largest event we organise for Hughes students each year and the one you definitely should not miss! A year of study is not complete and fully satisfactory without the big all-night party at the end with all your friends and fellow students – if you haven’t yet got your tickets do it now!

For the few of you who would really love to come to the Ball but have financial constraints the May Ball Committee is offering another opportunity – help us carry out the event for your fellow students for half the night and we will let you enjoy the other half as a guest for free.

We are recruiting a limited number of workers and we are giving a priority to Hughes Hall students – we have received applications from students in other colleges, but the committee have agreed that Hughes students will get a priority in the selection. Therefore do get in touch with me NOW if you want to take part, before we offer the jobs to external students.

Please fill in the application form with your name, relevant Ball/event experience and if you have any preferences for a shift.

The two shifts are: 6pm–12am and 12am–6am

Please apply as soon as possible – early applicants are more likely to get offers.
