Film: “No” (2012)

Set in Chile in the late 1980s, the story of this film unfolds against the backdrop of the historic national plebiscite held in 1988 to determine whether General Pinochet should remain in power. Based on a play by Antonio Skármata, the story centers on an advertising executive, played by Gael García Bernal, who becomes involved with the campaign. It is about a fight for democracy, but also about the role of media and advertising in politics. It has received international acclaim and recognition.
