Gates Cambridge – Inaugural Annual Lecture

Gates Cambridge is delighted to invite you to attend the first Gates Cambridge Annual Lecture which will take place on Tuesday, 11 November.

Dame Barbara Stocking, President of Murray Edwards and for 12 years CE of Oxfam, will deliver the inaugural Gates Cambridge Annual Lecture: “Is there Enough for All of Us?  Global Growth, Climate Change and Food Security”.   This lecture will explore the state of the natural resources of the planet, looking at basic human needs to see how near we are to living within the boundaries while meeting the needs.  It will look at food security and what needs to be done by whom; and also asking how we can continue to have food security in a climate changed world.  More information about the talk is also available on the website: http://www.gatescambridge.org/news/detail.asp?ItemID=14213

If you would like to attend, it would be helpful if you could complete the simple google.doc below to register your interest (however this is optional and you may attend even if you don’t complete the form).  Please note that the lecture is open to the wider Cambridge community so seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis on the night.
