This month’s edition focuses on next week’s Switch Off Week, beginning 10 November, which is all about working together to reduce the University’s energy use.
Did you know, the University spend £16 million on energy a year, that is £1,825 an hour – join your friends and colleagues this Switch Off Week in switching off lights, office and laboratory equipment and let’s see how much we can save!
Throughout the week there will be a series of events and competitions including a touring Switch Off Week Roadshow, a Dark Skies Stargazing evening and a series of short film screenings, to help individuals, departments and colleges to reduce their combined carbon footprint.
