Interdisciplinary Conservation Graduate Group

Our UCCRI Interdisciplinary Conservation Graduate Group is about to start off a new year with an exciting talk by Zac Baynham-Herd from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, ‘Who on Earth cares?’

Our Graduate Group (http://research-institute.conservation.cam.ac.uk/student-group) was set up last year to bring together graduates from across the disciplines within the University, whose research is related to the environment and society.  So far researchers have joined us from geography, land economy, social anthropology, HPS, Archaeology and Anthropology, Architecture, Plant Sciences, Zoology and Earth Sciences.  The first year of our Interdisciplinary Conservation Group culminated in a Conference, which we held at the Sainsbury Lab, early in September 2014.  Attached are the abstracts of the talks along with a write up of the event.

We very much welcome graduates from many other disciplines within the arts and humanities, physical sciences and social sciences. If you would like to join the group, you can sign up via the UCCRI website and we hope very much to see you at our first interdisciplinary conservation talk on Thursday 6th November at 1pm, Room 206 William Hardy Building on the Downing Site

Lunch will be provided
