Open Research Cambridge: Building collaborative workflows for scientific data

Mon 8 Dec, 18:30 – The Panton Arms, Cambridge

Bruno Vieira will introduce the Dat project, providing efficient distribution and versioning of large scientific datasets. This allows data workflows that operate in a similar way to Git and GitHub for source code. Bruno will also provide an introduction to Bionode, which implements or wraps around bioinformatic tools to build modular streaming pipelines with Dat. Both projects are open source and aim to transform the way we collaborate around scientific datasets.
