Transplantation and the elite athlete – Wednesday 25th November, 7pm @ Hughes Hall

If you are interested in transplantation or sports and exercise then you
will definitely find this talk fascinating!

The Sports and Exercise Medicine Society are lucky to have speaking to us the GB and NI transplant team doctor (and kidney transplant consultant) and a world-class athlete, who holds
both a liver transplant and 10 transplant world records in swimming (not to mention 14 gold medals at the transplant world games as well)! Come and hear about the effects a transplant has on your ability to exercise or play sport and how it is possible to overcome this hurdle
and still reach the very peak of your chosen sport. It is set to be a really great evening.

Food and drink provided of course!
