A Public Lecture: The Rise of Peer-To-Peer Lending and the Story of RateSetter – Monday 29 February

Rhydian Lewis, Founder & CEO of RateSetter

Rarely a day goes by without a story about the growth of the online alternative finance market in the UK. In 2015, the market grew by 84% to £3.2 billion, according to a new report published by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF).

Already making headlines this year, RateSetter is the leading peer-to-peer lending platform in the UK and has just surpassed the £1 billion lending threshold. In this public lecture, RateSetter’s CEO Rhydian Lewis will discuss the rise of peer-to-peer lending and how his platform deals with complex issues such as how the interest rates are set, borrower origination, credit risk modelling and how retail and institutions can co-exist.

The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance is an international interdisciplinary academic research institute dedicated to the study of alternative finance.

This event is free to attend, but registration is essential. RSVP to Nia Robinson

The lecture will be followed at 19:30 by networking
