On the eve of the 88th Academy Awards join us for a screening of one of
the nominated films. Or at least one that should have been nominated a
hell of a lot more!
That’s right, Christ’s Films are wading into the #oscarsowhite debate
with STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON – a film that should have received far more
nods than just best screenplay!
Charting the rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton follows Ice
Cube (O’Shea Jackson Jr.-his son), Dr. Dre (Corey Hawkins), Eazy-E
(Jason Mitchell) as they revolutionise hip hop culture and American
attitudes to race and life in the hood, problems America still has to
face up to today.
