The Islamic Society of Cambridge would like to invite all students to
this year’s Explore Islam Week (EIW)!
Explore Islam Week (EIW) will take place in the week 16TH FEBRUARY TO
THE 21ST (Tues to Sun), God willing. The week consists of a variety of
talks and events, and ends with a delicious FREE dinner!
The aims of the week are: to introduce, to further understandings of and
to encourage discussion of Islam. EIW is thus an amazing opportunity for
all who are interested in Islam of ANY FAITH OR NONE.

Tuesday 16th February
“The Pursuit of Happiness” led by Timothy Winter, also known as
Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad, dean of the Cambridge Muslim College.
Venue: Keynes Hall, King’s College TBC (Check FB page for updates)
Wednesday 17th February
“Love in The Legacy of The Prophet”, by Sheikh Babikir, director and
founder of Rumi’s Cave.
Venue: Queen’s Building Lecture Theatre, Emmanuel College
Thursday 18th February
“The Art of Calligraphy”, A talk and demo by Ustdadh Moustafa Hassan
Venue: Knox Shaw Room, Sidney Sussex College
Friday 19th February
Spoken Word Poetry Night, with Mo Writes and Sukina from “Poetic
Venue: Lucia Windsor Room, Newnham College
Saturday 20th February
Islam & Feminism: Student led discussion
Venue: Latimer Room, Clare College
“Blessed are the Strangers” – film screening and Q/A with director
Venue: Keynes Hall, Kings College
Sunday 21st February
FREE INTERFAITH DINNER
*FREE* interfaith dinner to round off Exlpore Islam Week 2016!
