Social Event for Engineers

Calling all Engineers ….. Are you interested in meeting other engineers within the Hughes Hall community? Would you like to get involved with/attend future engineering events? If the answer is ‘yes’, come along to an informal pizza evening. Hosted by third year engineering PhD student Jennifer Bitting, this second event will enable students and seniors in the field of engineering to meet each other.Find out more »

‘Owls and Ice Cream Cones’ Family Party

May 11 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Pavilion Room

All college members, together with their families/friends are invited to join us for a very special visit from The Raptor Foundation, who will be bringing to Hughes a selection of birds of prey. The event will offer a chance to get up close to the raptors, handle them and ask questions. The visit will also include a flying display, and volunteers will be needed to help fly the birds. Twilight of the Gods – a recital of fin de siècle lyric song

May 17 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Come and enjoy an early evening concert of music for voice and piano with distinguished soprano Alison Pearce and Hughes’ Director of Music Nigel Yandell. The concert programme will include works  by Debussy, Chausson and Satie, as well as a performance of the Fünf Gesänge op.13 by Szymanowski. Find out more »
