Our current focus is to ensure everyone is aware of college closure information together with any social and welfare activities on offer during the festive vacation. For any students planning on remaining in Cambridge for either the whole, or part of, the winter vacation, please read this document. It contains important college related information as well as other more general information.
Also to note:
- College offices will close for the Christmas holiday period at 5.00 pm on Wed 23rd Dec and reopen at 9.00 am on Mon 4th Jan.

Music Café
December 16 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Following the success of our November online Music Café, Hughes Hall invites all college members to another informal evening of music making – this time with a festive theme. Hughesians are invited to show off their musical talent – sing, play, make music – in a friendly café-style atmosphere. Come along and participate (live from your home, or with a pre recorded piece), join in with a few carols, offer your own traditional festive songs/readings or just sit back, listen… Find out more »
Christmas Social (Event open to HH postdocs only)
December 17 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
A special event for Hughes Hall postdocs. Join us for a (remote) Christmas evening, to catch up before the holidays, with mulled wine and mince pies, which we’ll make together (though of course you are more than welcome to buy some if you prefer!).
